Quantifying the Diva-ness of 138 National Anthem Performances

The publication
Visual essays made from data. The audience shares screenshots more than links, so everything has to survive being tiny.
The story
Jan Diehm and Michelle Pera-McGhee scored 138 anthem performances by how far each bends from the standard melody, then asked what the number misses. The diva line is measurable. The chills are not. The piece as published. The full text and the photography that ran with it are in the class packet.
Do not send
No sparkly microphones, no flags.
